👋 It's Robin here with another update for Incident Management.
One of the key features in D4H is the ability to tag information. What I mean by that is you're entering information into your log and you decide that you want to associate that log post with another object in D4H, such as a shelter, a hospital, a generator.
So for example, if you had an update about a certain generator, maybe fuel levels were checked, you can enter that into the log and tag it against that.
It allows you to take a lot of unstructured data coming quickly at you and tag and allot it into different area.
Come the end of the incident, when you print out the sheet on that generator, you'll be able to see all log posts associated with it. The same thing if you navigate in the software to that generator, we'll filter it and show you the log posts associated with that generator in the view.
You've always been able to do this in the web app, read our guide in the Help Center.
This update is the addition of the ability to tag log posts on the Incident Management mobile app. That's a really useful feature to be able to do from the field.
This functionality is in the latest version of the app in the app store, released a few weeks ago. Update your app if you don't have it. To tag a log entry, press + when posting, and select 'Add Tags'. You can type to search for any item in the incident.
As always, please do give us your feedback in the comments section. It dramatically helps shape the product and what we work on next.
