We love this one. Within our Equipment Mobile App (Android/iOS), you can now 'scan' barcodes or QR codes on your equipment to mark it 'Used' on an activity.
To get started, make sure you're using the latest version of the app, and go to 'Usage' in the main menu. From here, select an activity (Incident, Exercise, or Event) or create a new one...
You can now press the 'Scan' button on the bottom right to open the camera and scan items as they are handed out on an incident.
Alternatively, keyword search for the item or its ref. Once selected, this will start a timer for each item (see the stopwatch icon in red below)...
When an item arrives back, or you're finished with it, either scan it again or tap the red stopwatch to 'Stop' the timer. A pop-up dialog will open to ask you to confirm how many minutes and hours the item was used for. If the timer was inaccurate, adjust the amount and press 'Save Changes'.
As item is returned and its timer stopped, the row will turn green. If you want to re-issue the item, press the timer again to re-start the stopwatch.
For supplies, once you scan or search for a batch, you can press plus or minus to add or reduce the quantity used from the batch. Similarly for vehicles, swipe to edit the trip-end mileage on each.
