Now longer! 💬 More characters in SMS and Voice Alerts
Good news! Alerting Professional and Alerting Enterprise customers can now request their Alert Text to be up to 1,000 characters long (default is 120 characters).
That means you can now send more detailed information in the alert headline, perfect for sharing clear instructions or situational updates when every second counts.
Remember we already have the 'Long Text attachment' option which allows you to share unlimited rich text on a clickable link sent with the Alert.
This character limit instead applies to the text which is sent in the SMS, or read out on the phone call. When increased, you will incur multiples of your Alert costs depending on the length and number of SMS or minutes it takes to deliver. The cost will not change for unlimited-use channels.
